Competitions

First GavWA championship event held at Chiltern Archery on Saturday 1^st Feb, a group of archers with varying levels of talent (including a longbow archer) competed to win the official championship doughnut. Unfortunately the winner was unable to accept the main prize so was awarded a championship packet of ready salted crisps instead.

A fun day had by all and the start of a fantastic competition.

Sunday 13^th Oct saw a group of seasoned and complete field newbies out for a rather wet day at the Bucks Field Championship shoot, held at White Mark Field Archers’ superb range.

It was wet, clearing at the day progressed, but this didn’t dampen the spirits of the archers. Some found their stride quicker than others, but all had a seriously great time!

OMG! What a start to our field adventures! Soooo much fun, sooo many happy archers – it was amazing!

62 compound, recurve, barebow, traditional and longbow (yes longbows!!) archers came out to play over the weekend and everyone had great fun! The weather wasn’t as good as it could have been, but the rain more or less held off until the medal presentations, but hey-ho, that was really the last thing on the archers minds! ...
